Tell us about your background, hometown, family, hobbies, passions?:
I’m from Manila, Philippines. Raised with very industrious parents, I started working at the age of 15 in a small business pouring/repacking virgin coconut oil and then entered the BPO industry at the age of 18 while studying in college. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Communication.
I’m a big Potterhead fan wherein I even named my daughter as one of the characters. Also, I’m a furmom of two lovely shih tzu’s.
Tell us about your business. How long ago and how did you get started? What service(s) or product(s) do you offer?:
I started my journey as an English tutor teaching Chinese students back in 2014. Then after a year, I realized that I can do more than just teaching and I shifted as a Social Media Manager and a VA in 2015 working with various foreign and local companies and clients.
Who’s your ideal client? What’s the biggest problem you solve for them?:
As my tagline says, “I help entrepreneurs build and grow their business through Social Media and especially by freeing-up more TIME.”
How do you market your business? How are people aware of your business?:
I found most of my clients through social media, particularly Instagram and LinkedIn.
Tell us some of the challenges and lessons you’ve learned since you started your business.:
I learned the value of determination and perseverance during my college years. I was able to use these qualities to achieve freedom of building my own path.
If you had one piece of advice for someone just starting out, what would it be?:
Everything is HARD when you are still starting, but this process will make you stronger and smarter as you go along the way.
How do you achieve work-life balance?:
I play Volleyball every weekend just to be physically active since I spent most of my weekdays sitting in front of my computer.
