The Best Life Coach and the Creator of FREEDOM IS MINE Life Coaching – Linda Rouseau

On this week’s Member’s Corner Blog, we are so thrilled to introduce to you one of our amazing members and a life coach, Linda Rouseau, the woman behind Freedom is Mine Life Coaching.

Linda Rouseau is a strong, loving, and compassionate person following her dreams and passions to make a difference by being the change she would like to see. Linda has personally experienced multiple traumas in her life but chose to learn and grow from them instead of becoming a product of her environment. Although unknown to her at that time, Linda began her journey of mentoring and coaching while working in a Detroit Middle School. She assisted coaching the boys and girls basketball teams and was sought after by the students because of her listening ear and being there for them during and after school hours.

Even when Linda left Detroit, that spark never went out. She looked at many opportunities to help others but saw that she needed freedom to help others more effectively. That spark was fanned and ignited in 2015 which moved Linda to begin Freedom Is Mine – Transformational Coaching. Since that time, she has been able to guide individuals in unlocking their true identities as entrepreneurs, healing emotions, pursuing their dreams, and being a healthy leader of others and themselves. We are excited to feature her on our blog this month!

To know more about Linda, we asked her the following questions:

Tell us about your background, hometown, family, hobbies, passions?
I grew up in a single-mother household, the youngest of four in Detroit, Michigan. We lived in poverty and I strongly believed that my life didn’t have to be controlled by my environment. I have always loved learning, reading, participating in sports, and speaking up for the underdog, although I was extremely shy.

What do you love about Arizona?
I love everything about Arizona. It has many wide-open areas. It’s beautiful, clean, sunny, has beautiful people, lots of diversity, and opportunities. I feel very free here like this is where I belong!

Tell us about your business. How long ago and how did you get started? What service(s) or product(s) do you offer??
Freedom Is Mine Transformational Coaching is about unlocking true identity, which enables individuals to feel free in every area of their lives. In 2015, I was in a class and heard Dr Allen McCray, Life Impact LLC, speak and what he shared made my spirit leap. I knew that I wanted to train and become certified as a Transformational Coach through his process. I offer 1:1 coaching, virtual online processes, group training, speaking engagements, workshops, and I am at the beginning stages of a product line, IdentityWear For You.

Who’s your ideal client? What’s the biggest problem you solve for them?
My ideal clients are young adults who may feel unmotivated and beat down by older generations. I help them unlock their true identity and pull out the strong, courageous, motivated, creative leaders that they are I also show them how to bridge the gap between the generations for unity.

How do you market your business? How are people aware of your business?
People have become aware of my business through referrals, sharing what I do with others, and networking. I have also used limited Social Media.

Tell us some of the challenges and lessons you’ve learned since you started your business.
Since starting my business I have faced fears, embraced them, and moved forward as I identified that they were only there to alert me of unfamiliar territory. I have learned and enjoyed building relationships in spite of previously being an introvert. I have learned the importance of celebrating every small hurdle cleared which propels me further ahead.

To what do you attribute your success?
I attribute my success to God’s love and grace and Him always being with me. I have had many challenges in life and still do, but knowing God’s guidance in my life, I am connected with the right people at the right time. Also, my mother who gave me a strong foundation, my brother who took on the huge responsibility of being a guardian of 3 siblings after my mother’s passing, my sons who have been very supportive of me in my many endeavors, mentors full of experience and wisdom, and loving friends who celebrate me.

Whom do you seek advice from for your business? Whom do you like to follow in the business world? Why?
I seek advice from my mentor/coach and also experienced successful entrepreneur friends. They have important experience, tools, and wisdom which equip me to be the best I can be.

If you had one piece of advice for someone just starting out, what would it be?
My advice for someone just starting out and an expert is to be teachable!!

How do you achieve work-life balance?
I achieve a work-life balance by remembering the Life Wheel, which I also utilize in coaching. My goal is to have a well-rounded wheel which represents my life. If it can roll effortlessly, then it’s in balance. If it’s rocky like a Flintstone wheel, something is out of balance that needs to be addressed immediately.

I’m still learning, growing, and enjoying the journey!
