Looking for local business networking in Phoenix?

On this week’s Members Corner blog, we’re pleased to introduce Robert W. Jones, the Founder of Network Together, LLC, the largest non-franchised independently owned business networking organization in Arizona. He is an internet marketer, speaker, and mentor to business owners looking to practice the skills of networking, public speaking, digital promotion, and event presentation.

His company puts on over 1000 events and meetings per year including the iNetworkExpo, with many more large-sized event management projects per year with his company NT Events. Colleagues call Robert an energy creator as he uses his skills to engage, lead, and inspire, as he teaches his Network Together Way to audiences. He has media experience on stage, on set, and in the studio as a host or guest.

To learn more about Robert, we asked him the following questions:

Tell us about your background, hometown, family, hobbies, passions?

I’m a happily married father of 4 children and husband of a wonderful and independently successful wife and mother, Shawn Jones. A former US MARINE, published poet, avid runner, and health nut. I like to garden, cook and entertain with family and friends.

What do you love about Arizona?

Arizona is a great state to explore, raise a family and own a home. With so many landscape changes throughout the state from hot to cold. Home to the Grand Canyon, one of the wonders of the World! Arizona has lakes, forests, rivers, mountains and yes, a desert landscape.

Tell us about your business. How long ago and how did you get started? What service(s) or product(s) do you offer?

Network Together, LLC is a membership organization that was started in 2011. It focuses on public speaking, personal and business development and relationship building. Network Together offers chapter meetings, training, masterminds and large public events such as the iNetworkExpo.

 

 

Who’s your ideal client? What’s the biggest problem you solve for them?

Network Together’s ideal client is a business owner, representative, or other decision-makers who have a strong entrepreneurial spirit looking to learn and practice public speaking, training and network building.

How do you market your business? How are people aware of your business?

Network Together markets through multiple digital channels, such as MeetUp, Facebook and Email Marketing, traditional channels such as events, radio, mailings, and personal channels through the members themselves.

Tell us some of the challenges and lessons you’ve learned since you started your business.

I’ve learned that nothing beats a great attitude, perseverance, and tremendous work ethic. Skills, education, and experience all contribute, but at the end-of-the-day, it’s how bad do you want it.

To what do you attribute your success?

Knowing that there is no down, really. That is, money can be tight, staffing can be a challenge, changes can make you pull your hair out, but having focus, clarity, and goals create the foundation for success.

Whom do you seek advice from for your business? Whom do you like to follow in the business world? Why?

There are many people that I have sought advice from, but none more than my Step-Father who passed away last October. I still have many, my Dad, my business coaches and strangers next to me on airlines who hold no judgment.

If you had one piece of advice for someone just starting out, what would it be?

I would tell them that business is not built on the short game, it is built on the long game. In other words, make your achievements weekly, even daily and your vision a 5-year time frame.

How do you achieve work-life balance?

Turning off the technology, and practicing NOW, with those I am with, or with what I am doing!
