The best Float Spa in Gilbert

No one loves our Members Corner blog series more than us! Because every week we’re getting to know one of our amazing members. Launching this blog series has helped us learn more about our community and we hope it’s doing the same for you.

This week’s featured member is yet another amazing women doing amazing things. We are pleased to introduce Dr. Laura Witte, the owner of True REST Float Spa, Gilbert location. She opened the spa over 3 years ago to help people heal naturally, without medication, and she’s amazed to hear the stories of people who have benefited from flotation therapy.

If you are claustrophobic, no problem–simply leave the lid open or partially open. Everyone has their own private suite and shower. There are light and music options to customize the float. Relax afterward in the Oasis room with an oxygen bar and some organic herbal tea. This sounds amazing!

Please help us welcome Dr. Laura Witte, visit her profile at True REST Float Spa, learn about their offers, and you MUST try flotation therapy as listed on Avontage.com.

To get to know Dr. Witte better we asked her the following questions:

Tell us about your background, hometown, family, hobbies, passions?

I grew up in Charleston, SC, and moved to AZ in 2005 for a career in academia. My two children keep me pretty busy when I’m not practicing medicine clinically or floating! I love to do yoga/pilates, dance, and kayak.

What do you love about Arizona?

I love the warm weather! (Okay July and August are a bit much here, lol.) And I love to hike, paddle down the Salt River, and spend time with my awesome friends and family.

Tell us about your business. How long ago and how did you get started? What service(s) or product(s) do you offer?

True REST Float Spa in Gilbert has been open for 3.5 years now. We offer flotation therapy. The extremely high concentration of Epsom Salts is absorbed through the skin. It calms down inflammation so a lot of people float for arthritis, joint pain, back pain, and sports injuries. Some people come for stress relief–even depression and anxiety relief. The Navy SEALs are using floatation therapy for PTSD and concussion recovery.

Who’s your ideal client? What’s the biggest problem you solve for them?

Our ideal client is someone who is open to healing naturally. Floating reduces pain and stress. It also helps you sleep amazingly well.

How do you market your business? How are people aware of your business?

We market through word of mouth, business to business, Facebook, Google, etc.

Tell us some of the challenges and lessons you’ve learned since you started your business.

I had no idea what was involved in the buildout for a business–this was a huge wake-up call for me. Also, I didn’t realize that half of running a business was marketing. It’s been a long journey.

To what do you attribute your success?

I attribute my success to having a fantastic product and building a great team to represent the spa when I’m not there.

Whom do you seek advice from for your business? Whom do you like to follow in the business world? Why?

I have joined a lot of networking groups and seek advice from everyone who has experience running a successful business.

If you had one piece of advice for someone just starting out, what would it be?

Learn everything you can about running a business before you start. And hire someone reputable and excellent for the buildout.

How do you achieve work-life balance?

With flotation therapy!
