Tell us about your background, hometown, family, hobbies, passions.

My background involves staying active and fit while taking time to enjoy the day with simple pleasures. I enjoy hiking mostly as well as trying new places to dine in the valley.

What do you love about Arizona?

I love the Arizona landscape and scenery of mountains and color skies. Arizona has a stillness in the air that captures its beauty so epically. The roads are well designed, lots of different places to visit in and a broad diversity of cultures, not to mention close to perfect weather!

Tell us about your business. How long ago and how did you get started? What service(s) or product(s) do you offer?

I started massage therapy over 13 years ago along with other wellness trades including fitness and nutrition. Massage therapy has been my primary trait since I gained abundant results for my clientele over the years. I ran my own massage and health studio at age 22, offering personal training and group fitness classes along with nutritional consultation and gym management services.

Who’s your ideal client? What’s the biggest problem you solve for them?

My ideal client is anyone from children to adults, primarily between ages 40-70. I cater in anyone in need of therapeutic care.

How do you market your business? How are people aware of your business?

I market using accredited Yelp reviews, along with social media, flyers, postcards, and through various established relationships with other professionals and businesses.

Tell us some of the challenges and lessons you’ve learned since you started your business.

I have learned that patience is bitter but its fruit is sweet as Aristotle once said. I learned it takes time, effort, and persistence to keep going when the going gets tough.

To what do you attribute your success?

I attribute my success to my inner strength, humility, and motivation for constant improvement. I also acknowledge my family and friends for their continued support and encouragement.

Whom do you seek advice from for your business? Whom do you like to follow in the business world? Why?

I admire many well-known business gurus such as Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Barbara Corcoran but I seek advice primarily from a variety of business entrepreneurs including my family, friends, and acquaintances.

If you had one piece of advice for someone just starting out, what would it be?

Go after your dreams and aspirations if that’s what you really believe in, then don’t let anything stop you and know you will achieve it or something even greater; have faith!

How do you achieve work-life balance?

I achieve work-life balance by meditation and unwinding every often to remind myself that each day is about balance in all areas of life.

Favorite quotes or book recommendations.

My favorite books that I’ve read since my teens years include, Gone with the Wind, The Giver, The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles, Eleven Minutes, and The Odyssey to name a few.

Anything else you would like to add?

I achieved recognition for Miss Bikini Universe International Winner in 2012, among several other Fitness competition awards.
